Hey there Employers and Recruiters! You advertise jobs, you want quality applicants, but you don't provide your name or contact details??? It’s time we talked about ghost job ads. 👻
Imagine this:
You find your dream apartment online. Beautiful photos, perfect location.
But there’s no name, no number, no address — just a button that says “Apply Now.” Would you trust it?
Now picture this happening…from one of the world’s largest recruitment firms.
Their job ad asks you to 'Apply Now' or but gives no contact name, no number, no email, no clue who you’re talking to.
What the?
Even better…they finish with:
“If this job isn’t quite right for you, but you’re looking for a new position, contact us for a confidential discussion.”
Contact who? How?! Smoke signals? Carrier pigeons? Psychic hotline?!
It’s pure comedy - except it’s real. And sadly, it’s common.
No contact details = no accountability
No human touch = no trust
No way to ask questions = no clarity
So…why does this still happen?
Are we automating ourselves into oblivion?
Or just forgetting that recruitment is a human business?
Oh, and to those who do show up with a name, a number and a willingness to engage -
👏 THANK YOU. You’re building trust, one job ad at a time.
What do you think about job ads with no contact details?
