Why a team

Job seeking is lonely. So we made it a team sport.

Easy Apply and AI tools have flooded hiring managers with near-identical resumes. So they do what people have always done: hire people they know and trust. Relationships, visibility and referrals can't be automated. They can be structured, measured and coached.

In The Hustle Game you job seek with a cohort of IT professionals playing the same game, tracking the same numbers and backing each other. When one player wins, the whole team learns. When someone stalls, the team rallies.

The 7 Levels of Job Seeking: a new vacancy is filled first through who the hiring manager, their team and their network know (levels 1 to 3), then who the recruiter, their team and their network know (levels 4 to 6). Only at level 7 is it posted on job boards, where 500+ anonymous applications compete. 70 to 80% of hires are made at the higher levels.

How the game works

Every activity scores. The scoring tells you where to focus.

Experience points

34 activities across 6 categories. A cold application earns 5 XP. An incoming call from a hiring manager earns 100.

Your weekly zone

Hit 1,925 XP and you're in the Optimal Zone: active enough to get results, sustainable for 13 weeks.

Quest badges

From Week 4, your rolling average earns a badge. The goal is The Hunter.
