Job seeking
Visibility. Or as I call it, hustle.

I watched the 60 Minutes report last night. There's no doubt job seeking is hard at the moment. But there was one thing that the person from the UK mentioned at the end of the story that is a game changer.
Her visibility was the thing that got her her next job. Her advocacy increased her visibility and she was noticed by an employer who offered her a job. She even mentioned that the employer felt like they even knew more about her and what she stood for which created a great match for what they were looking for.
Visibility. Or as I call it, hustle.
Job seeking is definitely hard in 2026, but it's too easy to sit there and blame everyone for not getting a job. AI. ATSs. Recruiters. Employers. Ageism. Lots of things. But applying for jobs and sitting back and waiting for someone to contact us is not going to get you very far.
How about this. How about we outsmart AI by being human. Let's stop relying on AI to solve our problems and let's lean into this problem. Stop worrying about what the algorithms do or don't do.
Since August 2024, I've personally coached 129 job seeker back into work. 32 of those were through The Hustle Game. This wasn't done through applying for jobs and waiting for a result. It was all about being active and taking control of your job search, not letting it control you.
So here's my advice. Get active. Leverage on network. Reach out to recruiters. Chase that feedback. Don't expect to get an answer of the first call. Keep going and be persistent. Consistent visibility and hustle are some of the keys to success. Sure, it can sometimes be hard to get going but if your consistent and persistent, your confidence will grow you will get there.
