Our very best job seeking friends
Trevor Churchley ·
Job seeking is lonely and isolating. It can be tough when you're alone with your thoughts trying to work things out, but our pets can be our support saviours!
Many job seekers have no real human contact with the outside world during business hours. After your partner has gone to work and the kids are off to school, your home office can be a very isolating place. Applications are sent and are ignored, connections are too busy to answer the phone. It's a familiar story with job seekers.
This might sound silly, but our pets play an important part in our job search. They are great support for those lonely and stressful times. They are always positive during those time of frustration and disappointment.
They don't ghost us. They are always willing to listen. They provide comfort when we need it. And they are great for encouraging us to take a mental break: either to go for a walk, run around the local park or just have a wrestle on the floor.
They are our genuine job seeking friends. They are cheerleaders, our fan club.
George the Wonderdog is my amazing supporter. An 8-year-old Bordoodle, he is my ultimate supporter. Always there with his wagging tail and trusting eyes, he's seen and heard it all and still shows up to offer more support.
Who's your number 1 fan? Give them some kudos and post their picture in the comments!
