Job Seeker Cafe road trip
Trevor Churchley ·
What a fantastic day! Our Job Seeker Cafe went on its monthly road trip to #Sydney, #Melbourne and #Brisbane. Nearly 100 people showed up including some amazing, supportive recruiters.
Bringing job seekers together out of there solitude and loneliness is so cool. I love to watch them introduce themselves to each other, get to know each other and share stories. By the end of the event, they've made new connections and new friends who really understands them without judgement.
People often ask me why I do this, why I organise these free events for job seekers. I do it because someone has to do it. Someone has to lead the way. Someone has to lead with empathy and positivity, because when someone leads the way, others can follow with confidence.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, seeing these smiling faces and connections really fills my cup.
