As I sit here reflecting on 2025, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you to everyone who's been part of the Talentology AU journey this year, as our journey has also yours!
To our community who showed up week after week.
To our clients who trusted us with their careers and businesses.
To our partners who stood beside us.
To our industry colleagues who championed the cause with us.
To the Talentology Team.
You made this year extraordinary.
THANK YOU!
Here's what we accomplished together:
✅ 27 free #CareerAGILITY LIVE events - 800 attendees
✅ 31 Job Seeker Cafés - 2,000+ attendees, guest baristas, Bennetti Coffee Roasters, IRL events
✅ Successfully coached 100+ job seekers, contractors and SMEs AND LOVED EVERY MINUTE
✅ Created a 2,000+ member IT talent community across Australia and NZ
✅ Created 1,000+ LinkedIn posts with over 1.5 million impressions
✅ Launched the Good IT Recruiter Guide - identifying heroes and steering clear of the villains
✅ Championed +45 tech community against ageism, ghosting and AI
✅ Spent 3 months as digital nomad in Europe
Beyond the numbers, 2025 was about real impact.
Job seekers finding their next role after months of searching.
Contractors securing projects that matched their expertise.
SMEs getting the right talent at the right time.
We've seen experienced IT professionals rediscover their confidence, rebuild their networks and remember their worth in a market that often overlooks them.
The pattern remains: show up, stay visible, build genuine Level 1, 2 and 4 relationships - and opportunities follow.
What's Coming in 2026? We're turning up the dial:
- #CareerAGENT - Agent representation for contractors
- #Fractional45 - Free tech talent resourcing for employers under 1,000 employees
- Job Seeker Gamification
- Community marketing amplification
More mid-January.
The Best Part?
The amazing feedback from our community.
Without you and your support, none of this would be possible so I am truly grateful.
When Grace Kennedy said, "At our age, you don't generally make that many new friends, but I feel like I'm making new friends through this" - that's when I knew we'd built something special.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, to Katherine Ballesteros behind the scenes, to the 12 Job Seekers of Christmas, to Margaret Gilbert who sparked this whole Job Seeker Café thing, to our IRL organisers Margaret, Roger Lawrence, Desiree Roque, Susan Mackay, Phil Kan and Rachel Gibson, to David Bonnett for all his advice and technical direction, to Bennetti Coffee Roasters, to all our Guest Baristas, and everyone who supported each other.
And thank you to everyone who kept showing up. That resilience is your competitive advantage in 2026.
Have a wonderful Christmas. Recharge. Hug your loved ones.
See you in the new year. 🎄
