Who he is

What Travis does.

Travis Newing is a Melbourne technology governance, risk and compliance (GRC) leader with more than 25 years in IT leadership across Australia, Europe, North America and China. He works on a fractional basis, and currently provides technology risk advisory to Equip Super across cyber, data, third-party and AI risk, aligned with APRA CPS 234 and CPS 230.

At CSL he set up and led IT for a new pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Wuhan as Chief Information Officer and Site Head, overseeing compliance, governance, risk and cyber security through the pandemic, after seven years leading IT quality and audit against the GAMP5 framework. At AIG he was Regional IT Risk, Security and Compliance Officer for Australasia and introduced SOX IT controls built on COBIT, with 80% of controls passing in the first year and 98% in later years. He has also led IT service transformation at Chemist Warehouse.
