Who he is

What Roger does.

Roger Lawrence is a Sydney technology leader and Principal of No Kill Switch, his advisory practice. He helps organisations adopt AI and emerging technology without losing trust, control or operational discipline, working across AI adoption, cloud, enterprise architecture, cyber security, IoT and emerging technology. He's also a registered paramedic, which brings safety-critical thinking to places where reliability and good judgement matter most, such as emergency services and critical infrastructure.

At APA Group he was Head of Technology Enablement and Acceleration, leading the team that built solutions from process automation to generative AI with RAG and agentic architectures. Before that he was Chief Technologist for Innovation at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where his team built a white-label cloud platform adopted by telcos in New Zealand and Europe, and he held senior roles at Microsoft and HP. He led the build of Australia's first ASP data centre in 2001 and co-founded ACHIEVR, which uses AR and VR for health and safety training.
