CONNECT: You're between gigs and want to stay visible, or you're exploring contracting before committing to full representation. Low commitment at $79/month.

SOLO: You're a solo contractor (new or established) wanting ongoing representation, pipeline generation, and sales/marketing support. $1,500 setup + 7.5% of T&M revenue.

BIZ: You have (or want) a team of 2-10 people and offer multiple services—staff augmentation, managed services, and/or projects. $3,000 setup + tiered revenue share (7.5-15%).

BIZ PRO: You're running an established IT SME (5-20+ people) and need dedicated, embedded sales leadership. $3,000-5,000/month retainer + 7.5% of all revenue.

Can I switch tiers as I grow?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Many members start at CONNECT, upgrade to SOLO when they're ready for full representation, then move to BIZ as they scale a team, and eventually BIZ PRO as an established SME.

We grow with you—you don't have to "graduate" to a different service or lose your relationship with us.

Upgrade bonuses:
 • CONNECT → SOLO: $1,500 setup fee waived
 • SOLO → BIZ: $1,500 credit toward setup fee
 • BIZ → BIZ PRO: Priority onboarding & first month's retainer 50% off

Why should I pay you instead of finding work myself?

Accepted Answer

Most contractors spend 30-50% of their time on business development, networking, and chasing leads between gigs. We handle that for you—so you can focus on delivery while we focus on your pipeline.

The math:

• You bill $150/hr, work 160 hrs/month = $24k/month revenue
 • Our 7.5% = $1,800/month
 • The 20-30 hours/week you'd spend on BD = $3,000-4,500/month in lost billable time

7.5% of something is better than 100% of nothing between contracts.

Plus, most contractors can offset our fee by adding 7.5% to their client rate - so your take-home stays the same while you get professional representation.

Can I offset your 7.5% fee by raising my rate?

Accepted Answer

Yes, most contractors can.

Example:

• Your current rate: $150/hr
 • Add 7.5%: $161.25/hr (still competitive)
 • Client pays: $161.25/hr
 • You keep: $150/hr (same as before)
 • We get: $11.25/hr to represent you

The client is paying for your representation—not you.

This works best when:

• You're starting a new contract (negotiate the higher rate upfront)
 • You have pricing power (in-demand skills, specialised expertise)
 • The market supports slightly higher rates

What if I'm already working with recruiters?

Accepted Answer

You can still join CareerAGENT. We don't compete with recruiters—we represent YOU.

Here's how it works:

• Recruiters: Place you in specific roles (they work for employers, get paid by employers)
 • CareerAGENT: Represents you long-term (we work for you, get paid by you)

Many members work with both:

• Recruiters for specific placements they bring
 • CareerAGENT for ongoing representation, visibility between gigs, and career advocacy

We're complementary, not competitive.

Do I pay when I'm not working?

Accepted Answer

CONNECT: Yes—$79/month (cancel anytime). This keeps you visible and connected even between gigs.

SOLO: No. You only pay the 7.5% when you're earning T&M revenue. No monthly fees.

BIZ: No monthly fees. You only pay tiered revenue share when you're generating revenue (7.5% T&M, 10% managed services, 15% fixed projects).

BIZ PRO: Yes—monthly retainer ($3,000-5,000/month) + 7.5% of all revenue. The retainer covers dedicated/embedded sales team support regardless of revenue fluctuations.

What's included in the setup fee (SOLO/BIZ)?

For SOLO ($1,500) and BIZ ($3,000):

• Discovery and onboarding session (understand your skills, goals, ideal clients)
 • Profile and positioning development (LinkedIn optimization, personal branding)
 • Market positioning strategy (how we'll position you vs. competitors)
 • Community access and integration (intro to 500+ IT professionals)
 • Initial pipeline generation setup (target client list, outreach templates)
 • Sales and marketing plan creation (quarterly roadmap)

Think of it as the foundation we build before actively representing you.

The setup fee also ensures you're serious about the partnership—we invest significant time upfront.

I'm transitioning from permanent employment to contracting. Should I start with CareerAGILITY or CareerAGENT?

If you're actively job-seeking for a permanent role: Start with CareerAGILITY (our job seeker coaching & community program). It helps you explore both permanent and contract options.

If you've decided contracting is the path forward: Jump directly to CareerAGENT (CONNECT or SOLO).

If you're unsure: Do CareerAGILITY first to explore both options with coaching support, then transition to CareerAGENT when you're ready to contract.

Many professionals start with CareerAGILITY, realise contracting offers more flexibility/income, then move to CareerAGENT.

How do I get listed in Fractional+45?

Accepted Answer

All CareerAGENT members are automatically eligible for Fractional+45—our free marketplace where employers can discover and hire experienced +45 contractors directly.

What you get:

• Profile listing (skills, experience, availability)
 • Visibility to employers actively hiring +45 talent
 • No employer fees, no markups (they hire you directly at your rate)

CONNECT members: Basic listing (name, skills, contact)

SOLO/BIZ/BIZ PRO members: Featured listing with full profile, portfolio, testimonials

We'll discuss Fractional+45 during your onboarding and you can choose your visibility preferences.

What happens if I want to cancel?

Accepted Answer

CONNECT: Cancel anytime. No long-term commitment. Your $79/month subscription ends, and you lose access to group coaching, community, and priority opportunities.

SOLO/BIZ/BIZPRO: Subject to our Terms of Conditions.

We currently focus on Australian based contractors who have full work rights in Australia.

Are there any minimum prerequisites to join CareerAGENT?

Accepted Answer

Yes.

Prerequisites are assessed on a case-by-case basis. However, below is a guide:

- be an Australian citizen with full Australian working rights
- a minimum of 10 years technology industry experience
- have your own Pty Ltd company or business name with Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Workcover insurance
- have at least 1,000 connections on LinkedIn
- have received a minimum of 3 LinkedIn recommendations from previous employers or clients.

Not meeting the minimum requirements doesn't mean you can't join the program. Feel free to book a discovery call.
